Revista-del-Instituto-ColombianoAgropecuario. 1980, 15: 2, 71-78; 25 ref. Brachiaria decumbens established in April 1977 at Meta was continuously grazed by cattle at 2.4 head/ha from Aug. 1978 to Oct. 1979. Weekly grass samples were taken to determine CP, N, P, Ca and trace element contents. Mineral content of the grass was high enough to meet animal requirements except for N, P, Mg, Cu and Zn which were deficient. There was some seasonal variation with Ca, Mg, Fe and Mn higher in the dry season. This abstract relates to the following species:Brachiaria decumbens
