Sewan grass

Many-branchcd perennial up to 1 m high that occurs naturally in dry areas of North Africa and Asia. One of the most important grazing grasses in northern India in areas with less than 250 mm of rainfall, where it is sown for permanent pasture. The low yield can be improved by annual seeding of legumes such as guar bean or moth bean.
