Ravenna grass, plume grass

Tall coarse reedlike perennial grass with dense silky panicles, often cultivated for ornament. Grows to nearly 6 m tall with leaves 90-1 50 cm long. Water buffaloes can eat this grass when the plants are young, but it has little fodder value.
