Meat and meat products

Meat and meat products are produced, packaged and traded globally. As well as being a multi-billion dollar business, they also play a significant role in household food security and poverty alleviation in developing countries.

In helping to protect consumer's health, AGNS' substantive work on the safety of meat and meat products is the provision of scientific advice to Codex Alimentarius and the Joint FAO/WHO Expert Meetings on Microbiological Risk Assessment (JEMRA).
