Training workshop - 'Capacity Needs Assessment for Food Control Systems'
Rome, Italy, 28 November-1 December 2006

FAO recently ran an international training workshop on assessing capacity building needs in national food control systems. Dr Ricardo Molins and Nancy Gitonga, both of whom recently applied the 'Quick Guide' in the field East Africa under an ongoing FAO project, served as trainers alongside FAO staff. FAO's Food Quality and Standards Service hopes to organize regional workshops on this topic during 2007, subject to the availability of funds.
