FAO/WHO/OIE Stakeholders Meeting on Critically Important Antimicrobials

The use of antimicrobial agents is essential for both animal and human health. However, the emergence of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and pathogenic organisms that are resistant to antimicrobial agents is of global concern. The Joint FAO/WHO/OIE Expert Meeting on Critically Important Antimicrobials was held 26-30 November 2007 in Rome, Italy. Prior to the meeting, a session with stakeholder associations was organized.
