Dr Meike Andersson is a conservation biologist who received her Phd for the comprehensive study of diversity in the tropical multipurpose shrub legumes Flemingia macrophylla and Cratylia argentea, about which she has written widely. At present, she is based at IPGRI's Regional Office for the Americas in Cali, Colombia, as Postdoctoral Research Fellow where she is persuing research on geneflow in major staple crops.
