Description:

Perennial, creeping stems, stoloniferous, long 30 cm or more, with few leaves.

Distribution:

Distribution from Southern Brazil (Santa Catarina, R. G. do Sul) to Southeast Uruguay along the Atlantic Ocean coast.

Habitat:

Prefers stony fields, slopes, associated with short grasses. Typical of - sometimes exclusive to - stony fields, in spots, with abundant foliage. Summer grows in poor soils, adapted for sheep grazing; up to 1000 masl.

Use:

Species not studied, good potential for precipitous lands and grazing by sheep and goats.
