Description:

Herbaceous, winter annual, sometimes biennial, creeping, hairy, under low trees or shrubs, roadsides, in planted pastures; good response to P fertilizers.

Distribution:

In all the Pampean region and Eastern Argentina, South and Southeast Brazil and Uruguay.

Habitat:

In shallow soils up to 250 masl. Not domesticated and no experimental work.

Use:

Forage is looked for by cattle but production is limited due to annual growth habit and short cycle.
