Description:

Summer perennial, herbaceous, prostrate or erect, up to 45 cm high.

Distribution:

Distributed in Central-Eastern Argentina, Northern Uruguay and Southern Brazil.

Habitat:

Frequent in virgin meadows, hilly areas with clay soils of low water holding capacity.

Use:

Poor forage production, liked by cattle, resistant to grazing. Disappears from meadows following intensive prolonged grazing. Crude protein content 12 %, P 0.11 %.

Nodulation & N fixation:

Nodulates naturally in meadows.
