Characteristics
Small tree with dark brown, finely furrowed bark; leaves long,
usually dull green in colour, not curved; flowers pale yellow, in balls;
pods grey or bluish grey, fairly long with constructions between the seeds
similar to those of desert oak (A. coriacea) . This plant is found mostly
on river channels in Queensland in the area of 250- to 625-mm rainfall.
It is eaten fairly readily but is not cut to any extent for drought feed
(Everist, 1969).
