Farmer and community activities to manage plant genetic resources will be supported through training, participatory research and a supporting policy environment.

New partnerships will be developed between genebanks and plant breeders on the one hand and farmers and their organisations on the other, giving farmers access to a broader range of planting materials including through direct use of landraces conserved in genebanks and through farmer selection.
