Sistema Boliviano de Tecnología Agropecuaria (SIBTA)
Av. Héctor Ormachea Nº 1000 esq. Calle 12
Obrajes
La Paz - BOLIVIA

The Bolivian Agricultural Technology System (SIBTA) was established in 2000 substituting the former Bolivian Institute of Agricultural Technology (IBTA). Generation and transfer of technology activities will be conducted by Agricultural Technology Development Foundations (FDTA) established at the four main agro-ecological regions of the country: highlands, valleys, semi-arid tropic and humid tropic. There is a National Wheat Research and Technology Transfer Program (PROTRIGO). Several experimental stations in the departments of Cochabamba, Chuquisaca and Potosí are in charge of wheat breeding and agronomy research for the Andean highlands.

Centro de Investigación Agrícola Tropical (CIAT)
Av. Ejército Nacional Nº 131
