Diets containing 25% defatted groundnut cake (GNC) or with 25, 50 or 100% of GNC replaced by defatted niger (Guizotia abyssinica) oilcake (NC) were given to broilers from 1 day old until 8 weeks old. Weight at 8 weeks, feed intake and feed efficiency were not significantly affected by replacing GNC by NC but values were lower for broilers given diets with 100% NC.
