Milk production on grass pastures with and without nitrogen, continuously and rotationally grazed.

In 70-day grazing trials in Sao Paulo, 10 Flamengo-Dinamarquesas and 6 Friesian X Zebu or Caracu cattle were grazed (a) rotationally or (b) continuously on Chloris gayana pasture given 0 or 75 kg N/ha. There was no significant difference in daily milk production or liveweight gain between treatments, values ranging from 7.6 to 8.5 kg/head and 0.34 to 0.47 kg/head, resp.
