There was no significant difference in liveweight gain and milk production by heifers when grazed on Sehima nervosum or Cenchrus ciliaris pasture. Because of higher DM production of C. ciliaris pasture than that of S. nervosum pasture, the animal production/unit area was higher on C. ciliaris pasture.
