Essentially similar to T. triandra (geographical form). Common and often numerous in whole continent of Australia, Tasmania and Papua New Guinea. Palatable to cattle but CP content is low, ranging from 2.5% in dry mature plants to 6.3% in green, growing plants. CF content is 25-28% which is low for a tropical grass at an advanced stage of growth.
