Collected 1,120 blood samples of 8 districts of Georgia and 2 districts of Armenia and 830 blood samples from 6 districts of Azerbaijan

Investigation of materials

 

767 sera samples from Armenia and Georgia for the presence and level of FMD antibodies

105 sera samples had been passed to the ISZ (Brescia)

460 sera samples from Azerbaijan are being tested now

Pathological materials from Georgia virus type A (Armenia/98)

Animals seropositive:

in Georgia 8-16% cattle

in Armenia- 32-44% cattle and 5-28% in sheep

Postinfectional antibodies (3ABC)

In Georgia - 2% of samples

In Armenia - 49% of samples(45% from cattle 65% from sheep)
