FAO and PAAT awarded Certificate of Appreciation

On 29 September 2003, at the Opening Ceremony of the 27th Meeting of the International Scientific Council for Trypanosomosis Research and Control (ISCTRC), Pretoria, South Africa, Chaired by H.E. the Vice-President of the Republic of South Africa, FAO and the Programme Against African Trypanosomosis (PAAT) were awarded of a Certificate of Appreciation by The Chairman of The Commission of African Union (AU) and the Governments and People of all AU Member States. The Certificates of Appreciation were awarded [to FAO and PAAT] "in recognition to the support, cooperation, active participation and most valuable contribution toward the control and suppression of Human and Animal Trypanosomosis and their vector Tsetse Flies from the 37 affected countries in Africa".
