Controlling foot-and-mouth disease in South Asia FAO and the Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR) will open a three-day conference on 13 February to gauge the future direction for controlling foot-and-mouth disease across large swaths of South Asia, where the disease can mean ruin for poor families dependent on livestock for income and food.
