Increasing Local Milk Availability through Capacity Building for the Small-scale Dairy Sector

The objective is to develop and introduce flexible procedures for milk payment that reward both quantity and quality parameters to facilitate expansion of the village-based smallholder milk production system enabling farming families to increase earnings and improve food security; build the capacity of quality control personnel in the public and private sectors, including milk producer groups (associations and cooperatives), to develop and maintain quality control systems for locally produced and processed milk.
