Meetings, conferences and consultations

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), often in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), convene a number of meetings and conferences at the request of member countries to address various aspects of food safety and quality.

FAO and WHO recently organised a series of global and regional events to facilitate exchange of information and experiences among food safety authorities and to assist countries in developing practical action plans to improve food safety and to promote regional cooperation in this area.

AGNS, with partners, also convenes expert and technical consultations to provide guidance and advice to the Codex system and to national governments on specific food safety related issues.
