Acrylamide Infonet now online
Acrylamide Infonet, the WHO/FAO Acrylamide in Food Network was established as a result of the June 2002 FAO/WHO Consultation on the Health Implications of Acrylamide in Food. The consultation recommended that an international network on acrylamide in food should be established inviting all interested parties to share relevant data as well as ongoing investigations.

The FAO/WHO Consultation on the Health Implications of Acrylamide in Food (Geneva, 25 - 27 June 2002) recommended that JECFA shall
evaluate at a forthcoming meeting this contaminant which was discovered recently in various food items that had been prepared at higher
temperatures.
