Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Quality and Safety Database
The fresh fruit and vegetable quality and safety database has been developed
by FAO within the framework of the Project PFL/INT/857 "Global Inventory,
Reference Materials and Food Safety Training Programme for Improving the
Quality and Safety of Fresh Fruit and Vegetables". The main objective of the database is to
improve the safe production, harvesting, handling, storage, transport and
marketing of fresh fruit and vegetables by providing access to reference
information and information exchange among the chain actors, and tools for
training, extension and awareness creation.
