Notice to FNA Subscribers
FOR NEARLY FOUR DECADES, the Nutrition and Consumer Protection Division of FAO has provided information about nutrition and food safety to audiences around the world. A simple newsletter that was initiated in the 1960s evolved into a multilingual, interdisciplinary journal during the 1980s and 1990s. By the year 2004, the journal Food, Nutrition and Agriculture contained articles on topics as diverse as nutrient requirements, nutrition education, food safety and international food standards. More than 6000 universities, research institutions, government agencies, non-governmental organizations and food companies were subscribers to Food, Nutrition and Agriculture.

Due to financial constraints, the Nutrition and Consumer Protection Division of FAO has suspended production of the review. We regret to inform our readers that this will be the last issue. We have been heartened by the keen interest in nutrition and food safety that our readers have shown over the years. We wish to assure you that we will continue to seek ways to provide you with current information about FAO's efforts to alleviate food and nutrition problems around the world.
