Technical cooperation

Technical cooperation activities are carried out through field projects funded by donors or by recipient countries and are principally aimed at:

a) providing training services on demand to staff of local and central authorities and civil society organizations in:

  • constraint analysis;
  • formulation of policies, strategies and action plans;
  • favouring private investments;
  • strengthening collaboration between central and local government institutions and others.

b) holding regional, subregional and national sensitisation seminars and workshops;

c) providing technical assistance in the preparation of specific case studies of FSDSs to urban areas;

d) providing technical assistance for the formulation and implementation of local policies, strategies and action plans.
