Main activities and products

Financing large and medium-sized state-owned enterprises in all sectors,
agro industry and, to a lesser extent, provisioning of poverty alleviation
loans and agricultural comprehensive development loans. The last type
of activity was transferred in 1994 to the newly established Agricultural
Development Bank of China but reincorporated in 1998.
The ABC is on a path towards transformation into a state-owned universal
commercial bank.
