Projects on Post-Harvest Handling
The Division has the capacity to develop and design projects to upgrade post-harvest handling practices, improve the safety, quality and value of agricultural produce, reduce post-harvest losses and improve market access for both perishables and durables. Project development is participatory with the close involvement of all beneficiaries and stakeholders.
Projects on Coconut Water Bottling
The Division has developed three technology packages for preserving the quality and shelf-life of bottled coconut water. These packages employ different levels of technology and require different levels of skill and investment. Projects that provide for the transfer of these technologies can be developed within the division. These technology packages have so far been transferred to two Caribbean countries.
