Farm Management Research

Farm Management research contributes to many areas of agricultural development. Its resulting outputs contribute to such aspects as providing recommendations for farmers, agricultural policy and adjustment, agricultural planning, project planning and appraisal, project monitoring and evaluation and rural development.

 

In particular farm management research is undertaken to provide information that will assist farmers in management competencies and skills, help in farm management training and extension and also provide governments with information concerning farmers and their management practices, so as to support policy formulation and development planning.

This manual focus on research methods appropriate for small farm analysis and its orientation to determining the needs of small farmer development.
