"An Overview of Draught Animal Power"
FAO participates and actively supports informal networks on Animal Traction, in particular ATNESA (Animal Traction for Eastern and Southern Africa ). Proceedings of a Workshop on "Human and Draught Animal Power in Crop Production" Silsoe Research Institute, UK between 18 and 22 January 1993 are available in English and French.
A reference manual on "Employment of Draught Animals" is also available. These publications are supplied free of charge. Guidelines in Selecting Animal Power Technology in developing countries is also available on request. It provides guidelines for assisting member nations, especially developing countries, to prepare suitable programmes and activities consistent with their National Plan. |
