AgriBank-Stat was developed by the Rural Finance Group as a tool to provide key information on some of the most relevant formal financial institutions in developing countries which offer financial services mainly to farmers and farmer households.

It is an inventory which includes agricultural development banks, development banks, commercial banks and co-operative central banks and is intended to be of use to policy makers in international organisations, governments and financial institutions as well as to researchers.

The database is now maintained as a joint initiative with GTZ.
