11/02/2009FAO recognises the importance of animal welfare practices that lead to benefits for both people and their animals and supports their implementation. But, how can FAO contribute to inform and support producers in developing countries to access the benefits of good animal welfare practices? FAO has decided to give more explicit and strategic attention to animal welfare in its capacity-building activities in countries with developing economies.
