Rural women play a major role in livestock farming. In order to facilitate gender analysis in livestock projects/programmes, improving overall outcomes and effectiveness, FAO has developed a booklet that guides livestock experts in designing, implementing and monitoring livestock project and programmes in a gender sensitive way, taking into consideration the challenges faced by both women and men in livestock farming.
