Peruvian Agricultural Sector Strengthened with Help from Nuclear Techniques

After more than 20 years of dedicated efforts that included application of the Sterile Insect Technique (SIT) as part of an integrated approach, the Animal and Plant Health Service (SENASA) of Peru has announced the successful eradication of two highly destructive insect pests from two key agricultural regions in southern Peru.
