TRIDAX PROCUMBENS L.

 

 

Family: Asteraceae

Annual plant with trailing stems rooting at lower nodes. Leaves opposite, ovate, dentate and serrate. Inflorescence, single flower heads, disc florets yellow, ray florets white and 3-lobed. Fruit, grey achene with bristles. Its propagation is by seeds.

It is not an abundant weed, but it can be found in several arable areas as well as in waste places. T. procumbens is common in hot and humid environment.
