It is a small deciduous tree is a deciduous with a crooked trunk and spreading branches and leaves, closely set along the branchlets, light-green, glabrous, imbricate when young. Flowers are greenish yellow in axillary, fruit 1.3-1.6 cm, fleshy, glabrous and pale yellow. Its habitat is similar to the one of P. amarus . This plant is largely used for medicinal purposes in several countries.
