Other chemical options

Other chemical options are based on the use of mixed products with different spectrum of action, e.g. a herbicide plus an insecticide-nematocide or a fungicide. The mixtures will depend on the major soil-borne pests present, and for its better application it would be good, whenever possible, to know about their presence and abundance in soil.

In addition, most of the fumigants, due to their incomplete effect over weeds in open fields, may require the addition of a herbicide to complement their effects in soil.
