The project area is located near protected areas in southeast Chad and includes Zakouma National Park (ZNP), Siniaka-Minia Animal Reserve and Aouk Game Reserves. Populations surrounding these areas include farmers, agro-pastoralists and pastoralists.

The overall objective of the project was to initiate a comprehensive participatory planning among the different stakeholders.
