KAON tools -  KAON is an open-source ontology management infrastructure targeted for business applications. It includes a comprehensive tool suite allowing easy ontology creation and management, as well as building ontology-based applications. An important focus of KAON is on integrating traditional technologies for ontology management and application with those used in business applications, such as relational databases.

Protégée-2000 site -  Protege-2000, an open-source freeware program created at Stanford University (among the pioneers of ontology), gives a step-by-step tutorial on building an ontology.

Downloadable AGROVOC products

The latest version of the AGROVOC database (NewEditions2003 directory) is available in MS-ACCESS 2002 format, TagText and ISO2709. The updates include the following:

Accents for Spanish and French terms
Chinese and Arabic translations
Terms are displayed in upper and lower case
Czech translation available
