The Participatory Guarantee System "Agroécologie Maroc"

An ecological and local farmers' market has emerged at the initiative of a group of engaged consumers and producers in Rabat, Morocco. The farmers market happens every fifteen days since the beginning of January 2017. A Participatory Guarantee System (PGS) initiative has been developed in order to achieve a satisfactory relationship between consumers, farmers, and producers.

The PGS advantages are saving on control and certification costs, enabling networking between stakeholders and technical support for producers, strengthening territorial dynamics, stimulating collective marketing approaches, and raising public awareness.

The PGS is based on a humanist ethical vision, a collaborative and shared approach to the regular and reciprocal improvement of agricultural practices and human relations.
