Sustainable Food Production Program in Peri-urban of Argentina

The Sustainable Food Production Program in Peri-urban is a public policy that promotes the productive transition of the peri-urban areas of Municipalities and Communes (in both intensive and extensive productions) in relation to the environmental, social and economic aspects of the productive processes.

This initiative seeks to promote and strengthen alternatives to conventional production, considering and rethinking environmental, social and economic aspects. It focuses on peri-urban areas and is aimed at strengthening both primary activities and those processes that include added value.

The promotion of the agroecological transition and short supply chains, enable the population to access to healthy food, free of contaminants and produced by small and medium local producers.
