07/08/2020 -

The Global Program Food Security of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) is looking for innovative initiatives to contribute to improved food systems in order to have a transformative and sustainable impact on destitute communities. The aim of the call for agrobiodiversity is to improve food security and nutrition of smallholder farmers, especially women, based on enhancing the resilience and conservation of neglected and under-utilized species of domestic plants and animals, in accordance with agroecological principles. The call deadline is on 28 August. It seeks to promote innovation and develop new and effective strategies and policies in several countries to enhance agrobiodiversity through innovative approaches to demand-driven trade and the creation of an environment favorable to the establishment of regulatory conditions.
