Event Metadata

An event can be defined simply as "something that happens at a given place and time." An event can be broken into different 'subsets', for example, by day or session.

Some of the events in FAO are:

  • 26th Session of Committee on Fisheries (COFI), Rome, Italy. 7 March 2005 - 11 March 2005
  • 17th Committee on Forestry (COFO), Rome, Italy. 15 March 2005 - 19 March 2005

It is important to realize here the different forms in which the same information can be presented to the user. Normally, users have to look on the Internet, using search engines such as Google, for upcoming events.
