Third Agricultural Ontology Service (AOS) Workshop, University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida, USA, 9-10 May, 2002
Introduction
Representatives from North and South America, agricultural information technology specialists, librarians and catalogers, computer scientists, and people involved with organizing collections of information in any domain of agriculture and natural resources attended.
The AOS is a coordinated effort to develop an internationally shared ontology of agricultural concepts. The AOS project aims to provide guidelines and assist with tools and methodologies that can be used to develop ontologies at the local level that can be distributed and shared with other users interested in agriculture and natural resources.
