- What is Web 2.0?
The Wikipedia defines Web 2.0 as "a term often applied to a perceived ongoing transition of the World Wide Web from a collection of websites to a full-fledged computing platform serving web applications to end users. Ultimately Web 2.0 services are expected to replace desktop computing applications for many purposes." Although web 2.0 has now become a buzzword, a consensus on its exact meaning has not yet been reached. The following links attempt to clarify what is meant by web 2.0 and what are the budding examples of Web 2.0 software.

- Simple Knowledge Organisation System (SKOS): SKOS Core
SKOS Core provides a model for expressing the basic structure and content of concept schemes (thesauri, classification schemes, subject heading lists, taxonomies, terminologies, glossaries and other types of controlled vocabulary). The SKOS Core Vocabulary is an application of the Resource Description Framework (RDF), which can be used to express a concept scheme as an RDF graph.
