Digitization and Digital Libraries

Libraries today have a major opportunity to assume new roles by working with and disseminating electronic documents within the evolving knowledge societies. This subject area is being developed in support of librarians to provide them with the conceptual and practical knowledge for the digitization of collections, and the creation and provision of access to digital libraries.
