Regional Roundtable on the World Programme for the Census of Agriculture 2020 (WCA 2020)

The event is part of a series of roundtables that aim at presenting the FAO World Programme for the Census of Agriculture 2020 to member countries. The Programme is meant to guide them carry out national agricultural censuses by sharing conceptual approaches for collecting data and operational aspects to follow in census taking.

Professional statisticians, census leaders and all stakeholders playing a role in the planning and implementation of the next national agricultural censuses in the Caribbean region, will take part in this roundtable. During the roundtable new FAO guidelines that include recommendations and international standards for the implementation of agricultural censuses between 2016 and 2025 will be shared. The roundtable will also be an opportunity to review the plans for the implementation of the next round of agricultural census and surveys in the participating countries.

A total of 14 countries have been invited to the meeting, including Belize, Guyana, Suriname, Antigua & Bermuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Trinidad and Tobago.
