Signing of Project Document on “Strengthening the Environment, Forestry and Climate Change Capacities of the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) and its Agencies

The Government of Bangladesh (GoB) and Food and Agriculture of the United Nations in Bangladesh (FAO) signed an agreement on Thursday, 31 October 2013 on a new project, “Strengthening the Environment, Forestry and Climate Change Capacities of the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) and its Agencies”. This is funded by the contribution of USD 4.5 million grant from USAID for three years (1st September 2013 – 31st August 2016).

 

Mr Md. Abul Kalam Azad,Secretary, Economic Relations Division on behalf of the Government of Bangladesh and Ms. Rosanne Marchesich, FAO Representative a.i. in Bangladesh signed the Agreement. Representatives from MoEF, ERD, USAID and FAO were present during the event. <more>
