Regional Training of Trainers on African Swine Fever (ASF) Detection and Emergency Response for Southeast Asia

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (RAP), together with other partners, have been supporting countries’ efforts to contain outbreaks of ASF and minimise its impacts. FAO RAP, in collaboration with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA)  is organizing “regional training of trainers (TOT) on ASF detection and emergency response for Southeast Asia”, 22 June – 2 July 2020, to strengthen capacity of  frontline animal health personnel to be better prepared and respond to ASF through a cascading approach. This regional TOT aims to build a pool of regional and national trainers for subsequent trainings at the country and field levels.
