FAO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific

Second Consultation Meeting on Regional Monitoring and Surveillance Guideline Volume 5: “Monitoring antimicrobial use at the farm level”

27/04/2021-29/04/2021 Virtual, Bangkok, Thailand

FAO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (FAO RAP) and OIE Regional Representation for Asia and the Pacific/Sub-regional Representation for Southeast Asia (OIE RR-AP/SRR-SEA) are organizing the second consultation meeting on the Regional Monitoring and Surveillance Guidelines Volume 5 (Monitoring antimicrobial use at the farm level).

The meeting is a follow-up from the first consultation that the two organizations have organized in November 2018. Volume 5 of the Regional antimicrobial resistance monitoring and surveillance Guidelines is envisaged to be a practical tool for countries, primarily in the Asia-Pacific region. It will provide guidance on definition of antimicrobial use monitoring objectives; how to develop a data collection plan; analyze and report data; and, how to operationalize such monitoring in the region.
